" The Bill No. 3014 for the protection of children in watching movies and video games, currently before the House Committee on Culture, aims to create a National Committee with the task of "countersign" classification of the game given by PEGI in Europe.
Italy could become the only country in Europe where it is imposed a cumbersome system of double evaluation of games.
If passed the Bill so there will be two consequences:
1. discrimination Italian gamers from Europe, unnecessarily lengthening the time at which the Italians will be able to play games , not just "controversial", as the procedure of filing and reclassification is open to all national securities without distinction;
2. could still put in jeopardy the same protection of minors, because the procedure would feed piracy, especially on the Internet , and push the development of parallel import - perfectly legal - to be other European countries where there exists the system of dual control.
The only way to tackle the problem effectively is to make sure that, first, the system PEGI is respected both by consumers and retailers and, secondly, that parents exercise their supervisory functions at the time of 'purchase and use of video games by their children ... "
So, dear visitors of the square, I invite you to sign the petition (click on it to access), and if you want to insert the logo (which is always in the petition page) to say:
PROHIBITIONISM NO TO THE GAMING.
