When I read the phrase on the poster for the film " levels Godfather", I thought: "It will definitely a bad movie." Instead, this American Gangster is a great movie. Without disturbing sacred cows ( The Godfather and The Godfather, if you please), Ridley Scott (director of the film) did a good job, obviously with the help of two legends of cinema, as Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe . The film is about the America of the early '70s, and the story (true) of Frank Lucas (played by Denzel Washington), a black man who moved to the provincial New York, who in the '70s became one of the largest and most powerful drug traffickers. I am not telling the whole movie, but I can certainly tell you that a great movie, well done. Lasts longer than two hours, but turns out to be a film that runs off nicely. Also because it tells so well in that period made America Gangster, Mafia families and corrupt police officers was not easy, but Ridley Scott has been good at this, not making a movie with heavy themes such dramatic. What to say more, I really recommend it. After the recent bad films seen, the My taste buds savor the taste of cinema has seen a great movie. I leave you with a trailer of the film.
